Based in Los Angeles, Josh S. Rose is a filmmaker and photographer, specializing in dance, movement, music video, editorial and documentary. Rose's highly-creative process involves deep and meaningful collaborations with the artists and clients he collaborates with. He's traveled the world as a tour photographer, driven the country documenting the American worker, spent a month with a professional baseball team and gone inside tents on Skid Row. Current Artist-in-Residence with the Los Angeles Dance Project. 2019 Artist-in-Residence, CalArts. Leica Akademie Instructor. International Spider Awards Top Honors Winner in Fine Art Photography.
Prior, Rose was EVP, Group Creative Director at Deutsch, Los Angeles and Chief Creative Officer at Weber Shandwick, a global marketing firm, He lead creative campaigns for Volkswagen, Dr Pepper, Playstation, Mattel, Samsung, GM and many others. Rose was the creative lead for the launch of the Affordable Care Act in the US and ran social media for the US ARMY.
Today, Rose has his own small creative boutique, Humans Are Social, working with select clients on content development and brand identity. Rose also does creative collaborations and influencer campaigns on Instagram and is the Top Writer on the subject of Photography on Medium.com.
