These are my entire set of black and white presets. It's 13 different looks, from crisp, clean and high-contrast to dark, moody and grainy and everything in between. Also, I've named them after a few of my favorite poets, with thought about how to pair them. I'm an avid poetry-reader and, as you may know if you follow me on Instagram, the intertwined nature of poetry and photography is an important part of my process and art.
The poets include: Arthur Rimbaud, Rainer Maria Rilke, Charles Bukowski, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, Ezra Pound, Fernando Pessoa, Frank O'Hara, Langston Hughes, Sylvia Plath, W H Auden, Wallace Stevens and Walt Whitman.
Also included in the .zip file are a photograph + poem that are only being released here and to those who purchase the presets. Both are original pieces. The image has been processed using the Emily Dickinson preset and the poem, "it came preset," is specifically dedicated to those who seek inspiration and an original voice in their work.
The putting together of all of this has been a long-running passion project of mine and I've carefully organized and differentiated these presets to offer you the same creative process I go through, which is to quickly go through a variety of looks so that I can think creatively, and about how an image best conveys a mood or feeling, rather than sweating over various settings. I want your workflow to feel poetic, as mine does, and I hope these presets help.
